How did you propose?

How did you guys pop the question on your woman?
I'm trying to come up with something clever, planning to pull the trigger this summer some time.
She's planning a trip with a couple of her girlfriends to Napa. I'm considering flying out for one night and surprising her there. Pop the question and come back home the next morning. I don't want to stay there all weekend with them and mess up the girls trip.
Other than that, I'm drawing blanks on backup plan.

Mine was kind of corny, but I paid for the ring, then a few days later asked my wife to go to that particular jewelry store to help me find a pair of earrings for my mom for Mother's Day. I just picked this random pair and asked the girl (who was in on it of course) to go get me a pair to let me see them up close, then she brought the ring and I dropped down to one knee.
It worked out good for me because it was like a committing a crime in front of the police station kind of thing. She knew I was gonna pop the question any day, and ironically her guard was down as we went into the jewelry store.

Flew home, tricked her into meeting "her parents" for dinner, rented out the balcony and popped the question at the end. Afterwards we went to a bar nearby to have drinks with "her parents", which was really all of our close friends and family. Was perfect for us.

We walked down victory hill with the all American Golden Band from Tiger Land behind us for the South Carolina game in 2012. Got down on one knee when the drums hit the first note of pre-game, she had just enough time to say yes before we got runt-over.
Pretty sure she was more pumped about walking down the hill than she was about me proposing.

Don't wreck her girls trip, and everyone else's. That's a terrible idea anyway, and selfish. Make it somewhere nice and where she can make it about her, and celebrate with friends and family.
