Can't believe someone didn't start a thread about this. DJ raised his average to .208 to .286.

The Rockies scored 6 runs in the 8th DJ started it out with a 2 RBI single.

Note: early season BA mean nothing in the MLB.

No 9 games into the season the BA at any level means nothing, a player could be batting .100 9 games in and finish around .300 by seasons end.

Let me rephrase it means very little.

It's early , three hits can raise your average 80 points . Good for DJ

DJ could be a pretty good 2B or utility player for many years to come. I'm not sure he will be a good enough starter for a first place team, but he might stick there. Either way, he should have a roster spot as a bench utility player for sure.

On the news last night, Rockies manager Walt Weiss said that D.J. was "clutch, as we expected him to be".

But aren't you accustomed to disappointment already being a Cubs fan?
