Jindal and Edwards tied for first, Blanco and Foster slightly behind in no particular order. Roemer least self serving.

How old are you? Roemer, seriously. Edwards and all the rest are typical. I would say Foster, the least. He really didn't care. He went to law school while he was Governor. How about most disappointing?

Edwards
Jindal
Roemer
Blanco
Foster

When I ask people this question, no matter the party, Jindal and Edwards are almost always the top two...

Edwards--self-serving in terms of wealth and cash
Jindal--self-serving in terms of ambition--doesn't care about money. He he driven by power and attention.
Roemer--you got to admit he has a big ole ego.
Blanco--self serving is not a good description of her, she moved money around for her pet causes--ie ULL. She was way above her head and easily manipulated by those around her.
Foster--zero self serving actions--best governor of all listed.

In fairness, we should also rank them by policy and effectiveness too:

Self-Serving:
1) Edwards, 2) Jindal, 3) Roemer (he nursed POTUS ambitions at one time too), 4) Foster, 5) Blanco

Effective:
1) Edwards, 2) Jindal, 3) Foster, 4) Blanco, 5) Roemer

Policy:
1) Jindal, 2) Foster, 3) Roemer, 4) Blanco, 5) Edwards

The Felon and Jindal BY FAR the most self-serving. Anyone who would rank Foster and Blanco as more self-serving than Jindal is an idiot.

That's not to say Jindal isn't necessarily better than those two. But he is very much more out for only himself and his image than the other two.

1. Piyush. Biggest self-serving POS in the history of Louisiana. The man is an egoist who only thinks of himself.
2. Foster--he was very self-serving. People on the board give him a pass because he's a conservative.
3. Roemer. Dude was an idiot though
4. Blanco
5. Edwards. How can a guy who wanted to expand state services and do more to help the poor, elderly, and minorities be self-serving. Sure he wanted the ladies and he took bribes but it was okay because he wanted to help the poor and working-classes. EWE never had any national ambitions.

Actually he was a democrat until he decided to run for Governor.

Edwards is classic democrat, using the message of helping poor ppl and minorities. Its the classic democrat move, its nothing more than a vote buying scheme.

You have no clue of La Politics and former Governors.

Roemer is far from an idiot.

Foster was not self-serving, he spent a lot and actually got a lot accomplished by his administration. He himself didn't really care.
I think Blanco gets a pass, she wasn't really running the State and post Katrina, she was a virtual lame duck. I think she meant well, it was Coach he was self-serving.

Jindal is disappointing he has done a lot of things half assed, just to say he did it. All smoke and mirrors. He had a mandate and failed.

If you look at where LA was, N. O. especially at the end of the Sixties, Edwards squandered it all. His ego led to a contraction in this State for years. What is disappointing he controlled it all, he could have done anything to improve the State. He basically, set us back 20 years with cronyism, political patronage, etc.

Agree with basically your entire assessment, and I am far from a Republican hardliner.

I'm still convinced the reason that loser race-baiter Jerry Baldwin was ever hired as our head coach was to shore up more of the black community's support for his wife.

Raymond Blanco was a piece of crap.

So it's ok to commit felonies and blackmail business owners as long as you're also diverting Other People's Money to the poor?

I'm sure you'd be ok with no prosecuting a bank robber if he gave $100 of the $10k he stole to a homeless person, right?

I read his book. You are wrong there to. He campaigned hard for Carter and was expecting to be named VP or another position. He was a representative before he was Governor. You need to learn a little history.

If you look at New Orleans at the end of the 60's early 70's when Edwards took office. It had the Super Dome, it had pro football and basketball, it had fortune 500 companies. It was larger than both Atlanta and Houston. He put his cronies in place, some are actually still in place; "Alario".
It took at once in a lifetime storm to change the effects of the Edwards supporters running N. O.

He was from SW Louisiana, that was his core support, but what did he do to help them after the bust? He is just extremely disappointing in how he can't explain that he did more in all his terms than McKeithen.

He had a Constitutional Convention to place all the power with the Governor. He abused that power every chance he got. I thought that Jindal had the mandate to correct this and help Higher ed, etc. and he just wet the bed. So yeah they are both horribly disappointing. Also, you calling him Piyush, shows your true agenda.

So, the guy who did federal time for corruption is dead last in "self-serving"?

Your party bias is showing.

Yet, you give no examples of his self-serving actions.
