NASA cuts contact with Russia, except for space station

"NASA and Roscosmos will however, continue to work together to maintain safe and continuous operation of the International Space Station."
The public statement was released following the leak of an internal agency memo that directed all NASA contact with the Russian government be suspended.

That's a terrible violation of international law.
Thank God our great country of America never does that. Can you imagine our country violating another country's territorial sovereignty or integrity?!? Lead by example American. Shining light to the world.

I guess they just needed a little space. I hope it's naut awkward for the guys up in the station. Maybe they're floating some ideas how to make it all better, and can gravitate towards a solution soon.

The real reason for the breakup is Russia fricking up their missile test fire, causing a chain reaction, and destroying the shuttle and space station.

Maybe our astronauts can float over to the Chinese space station and take their capsule to get back to earth.

that's funny because the space station is pretty much the only thing Russia and NASA have contact about, and it's also both nations biggest mission at this point. So basically this announcement is just for show.
