So my daughter is 14 and for some reason her favorite band is Kings of Leon. She's made straight A's this year and I feel like she deserves a reward.

This would be her 1st real concert and I'm going to surprise her, let her skip school and we're going to have a daddy, daughter day. The question is do I buy floor seat for 150 each or get seats in the bowl at the arena in section 107 for 75 each?

It's not so much the money but she's only 5'1" and not sure how floor tickets at the arena work.

It's not gonna matter. She will be jacked up either way.

I still remember my first concert 15 years later. Give her a great experience.

they are a rock band (i guess) so the floor may not be the best spot for her in all honesty.

i would get the best seats you can get instead of the floor.

Get the floor seats. She can stand on the seat. band is elevated anyway, so you can see them from anywhere. Only issue is you'll be standing the entire time.

ETA: congrats on having a daughter that age with good taste in music. Most girls her age are listening to shite bieber or rap crap

IMO, floor seats are pretty pointless if you aren't in the first 10-15 rows. Get good lower bowl seats close to the stage if possible.

Who is going to put a 14 year old on their shoulders for 2 hours? Doesn't sound like fun to me...

I paid $$$ for floor seats for my baby sister to see Britney back in 2002. Was her first concert. I wanted her to have an amazing experience. She def had that on the floor. And she wore the bracelet you got for the floor for like 2 weeks after the show

Get her the floor seats. Be the cool dad.

We went to their concert recently.
Lots of lights. I hope neither of you have epilepsy.

We sat in the bowl. Looking from the band's perspective on stage, our seats were on the right side. Not the absolute closest section to the stage. We were a few sections further away so we could get a better angle.
You can see them pretty closely and the lights aren't hitting you in the face.

They are really loud btw. You may or may not want to bring ear plugs. I wore them and could still hear everything just fine. I know it's not "cool", but it's smart.

ETA: FYI, really cool thing to do. Great job, dude!

I don't remember what tour it was. But it was shortly after 9/11 so the security was insane. I had to argue with a security guard cause he almost didn't let us bring the poster my sister and I had made in.

I also saw toddlers being frisked with the metal wands as well at that concert

I'm not the biggest Britney fan so I was just glad they served alcohol at the concert. But I gave my sister an amazing first concert experience. Great seats and let her pick out a Britney shirt(that likely cost $50).
