No Manziel in 1st round

quote:

At Manziel's pro day last week, I found the majority of decision makers there were uncomfortable with the language of the music that played during the workout and with Manziel going against the grain by wearing a helmet and shoulder pads.

Why?

Team front offices want to know if Manziel can conform and be just one of the guys. His pro day outfit wasn't Texas A&M gear – it was Johnny Manziel gear. Teams have a concern on whether the pursuit of perfecting his QB skills will ever be first on Manziel's mind.

These are the reasons I don't think Manziel gets taken in Round 1.

So he thinks teams won't pick Manziel in the first round because he wore Nike gear to his pro day and listens to rap music.

8. Minnesota Vikings
Needs: QB, DE and OG

Huh?

The Vikings recently locked up Robison and Griffen. How the frick does not he list OLB as a weakness (which is a gigantic void besides QB)?

Is this Tulane QB Shaun King? The one Rich Rod made into a college beast?

Because we know all NFL players listen to squeaky clean Christian music.

You play in shoulder pads and a helmet. I like that he showed he isn't a tshirt warrior.

Already signed a contract with Nike, right? Probably legally required not to wear Adiddas stuff.

JFF may not go in the first round, but if this is the "NFL decision makers" reasoning for not taking him, then they are retarded.

Because "me-first-do-my-own-thing" players have never been a problem in the NFL before

These scouts have done this work for a long time. I'm sure there isn't much they haven't seen. So as dumb as it might seem to us, I'm sure they know a red flag when they see it.

I'm not saying that's what JFF will turn out to be, but they know their job.

But think of it as a job interview. You're wanting to impress the bosses, and you show up blaring profane music and wearing camo cargo's? It's football, but look at it from that angle.

LULZ. Yeah, because the brand of pads JFF was throwing in is extremely important in determining his on the field production.

The fact that grown men are bothered by curse words in a song during a pro day is the current USA in a nutshell.
