Watching the various shows on cable you often see a lot of the famous paranormal phenomenon like Big Foot, chupacabra, alien abductions, the jersey devil, etc. None of those seem all that disturbing or believable other than maybe some of the alien abduction claims. Of all the phenomenon I've seen, the one that legitimately freaks me out a little bit is the one about black eyed kids. Anyone have any stories or theories about this phenomenon? Is it real in your opinion or an incredibly creepy and effective hoax?

It's an incredibly creepy and increasingly common paranormal phenomenon that is being reported around the world. It usually involves a knock on the door usually at night from 2 young "kids" usually mid teens or younger dressed in dark pants and .overcoat/sweatsuit with the hoodie concealing most of their face. The kids claim to be lost, cold, or hungry and ask to enter the home usually to use the phone or sometimes to use the bathroom or get something to seat. The kids speak with unusual poise and confidence that along with an aura that causes a sense of dread and foreboding in those who answer the door. The kids persist in a strange monotone voice to be let in until they are either let in or are told to gtfo. There is a moment in all the encounters when the person looks into the eyes of the kids but only sees dark lifeless eyes.

Google black eyed kids and read some of the freaky stories. The phenomenon is either an incredibly well done hoax or is real. My opinion is that if it is real then it is demonic in nature.

The creator of the original account of the Rake is yet unknown. According to this account, the Rake was written of on four continents, and was first described in the 12th century (1101-1200), but provides testimony from 1691 at the earliest.

"A Mariner's Log: 1691

He came to me in my sleep. From the foot of my bed I felt a sensation. He took everything. We must return to England. We shall not return here again at the request of the Rake."

The next earliest is an account from the 1800s, where it cites a Spanish journal entry, describing "it" as having hollow eyes. Following that is a 1964 suicide note, where the author claims his/her suicide is due to repeated encounters with the Rake, which apparently stalks him/her. She writes that she fears for "Linnie," as the Rake spoke his/her name. This may indicate that the creature stalks a victim over long periods of time, or tortures victims.

A witness "in 2006" provides the most complete tale of the Rake, when she and her husband awake to the Rake sitting at the end of their bed. It scurries to the bed side, stares at the witnesses' husband, and then runs into their children's' room, where it attacks their daughter. It flees as the couple approaches, and their daughter's final words are, "he is the Rake." Her husband and daughter die when rushing to the hospital, driving into a lake. The witness claims having found many more accounts and contacts who are being or have been stalked by the Rake, and that she has heard it speak to her.

This. 100%. I wouldn't open the door for this little back-eyed kids, either. But not because I'm freaked out; because I don't answer the door at 10:00 at night for anyone unless you're popo or family.

As for that Rake thing, I have heard of people finding hunters' cameras and swapping out SIM cards with stuff like that. 100% hoax.

So you wouldn't answer the door because they were demon children but out of principle?

Read one of these stories where a woman actually let a young boy and younger girl in after initially being hesitant. The initial request was to use the phone. The boy was eating an apple and when the phone request didn't initially work because the woman offered to call their mom he asked to come in to get ketchup for his apple. That didn't work and he said the little girl with him needed to use the bathroom. She let them in and when she followed the boy into the house she then noticed his solid black eyes. The boy turned to her and said he was there to "collect her. Freaked out by this she hauled tail out of the house to a neighbor. The neighbor and her went back and found nothing except for A partially eaten apple in the hallway.

Those are more mysteries. There is some crazy stuff on Montauk experiments. I was thinking more along the lines of:

Friend of a friend hooking up with a chick on spring break only to be left with "welcome to the wonderful world of AIDS" written in lipstick on the mirror.

Hooker drugging you and taking a kidney, leaving you in a bathtub of ice.

Pet snake not eating for a week so it could strangle and eat owner.
