We have known it for a long time glad others are now giving him credit.

RR tells story...middle of game, Sean Payton on headsets "Have Rex's number?" "Why?" "Cause I want to call a Ryan who ain't afraid to blitz"

I wonder what exactly makes him think that? As in, what makes him a better coach than Belichick?

Belichick probably micromanaged him a bit.

Who knows. He might just have more respect for SP or something. I think he will end up being on BB's level when it's all said and done.

The ultimate compliment coming from a damn good coach in his own.
Love our OC+HC / DC.
And Payton respects the hell out of Ryan as well. He let Ryan come in here and get the guys that HE wanted and changed it up how he wanted it. Went out and got KV, signed Lewis, and then made a huge signing in Byrd. Not that many head coaches would do that.
Especially Belichick. And I think hes 1 of the best in the game. But he is hard headed and has an ego. He doesnt care what his assistants think, hes gonna do what he wants and get what he wants. And its worked. But seems like CSP and Rob Ryan work together really well together. Most head coaches do it their way and their way only.
Its awesome
