Here with my sister-in-law. We haven't eaten in a good place yet. My wife and I will have some time tomorrow and need a recommendation for a good local place. Lunch or dinner. A place with local beers on tap would be a plus (besides Abita).

Thanks

Coop's Place is pretty good, and cheap. Definitely a locals type dive. Not sure about the beer selection, but I'm sure you can make it work.

Yes. I send guests there every night who are looking for a good late night meal. Really good food for the price.

Next time you spoon me out on the streets of New Orleans and leave me, can you promise to aim me towards this place? It's a pretty certain bet I will need to eat...

TIA

You don't consider Erin Rose a dive bar?

Without a doubt. It's the definition of a great dive bar. I took one of my Houston friends there after running of the bulls a few years back. He was puking in the bathroom and it wasn't even noon yet. Good times.

Have y'all tried their taco place in Molly's ?
