I'm having a kid in September and looking to eventually sell my boat after the summer. Looking to post it now to see if I can get a good price for it. What are some good free sites to post it. I know LA sportsman, but other than that I'm not really sure. Boattrader wants $50 for a two week ad . I've got all the time in the world to sell it and am not starving for the money, so I'm not paying that kind of money to get it on one of those sites.

You know your best option....

Try Facebook too... One of those groups like Cajun Swap Shop or Barter on the Bayou.... They get tons of traffic.

The later into summer you go the less the money you will get on the boat unless it is something that can pull double duty for duck hunting...

Selling a 2012 Ranger Banshee Extreme. I'm not going to lie, I've got a pipe dream of a price tag on it. I really don't care if I sell it or not right now. I'd love to have it for the rest of the summer. Putting it out there right now because I know this is when you'll pull the best price when selling a boat and if someone's willing to pay, I'm willing to sell.

I don't really need the money for it, I just know I won't be using it much after this summer. Plus, I want to upgrade to a bigger boat with a kid involved.

If I have one thing to brag about, it's that I have a wife who thinks I shouldn't sell it. I just don't want to be the dad who takes off every weekend, nor do I want to leave a boat not being used.

I got a really good response from Texas Fishing Forum when I was trying to sell mine.

That said, I live right on the LA/TX border and you have to have a minimum of 200 post to be able to list one for free. So sign up and get posting.

There is a Louisiana Fishing Forum which will let you post it for free too, but they do not get much traffic.
