This is the first year I have a yard to do it. My yard doesn't get too much sun but it does get some. Maybe 3-4 hours? So I'm thinking I will only do stuff in pots. Herbs (not the good stuff)... maybe some cherry tomatoes. Any suggestions? I'm a noob. Planning on getting that done sometime this week.

I planted a variety of peppers from seeds in the house to start. They sprouted to 3 inches. I took them outside and the combination of cold temps and no sunlight this March killed them. I don't have a greenhouse or a shop light.. just used the window sill.

Started new seeds 2 weeks ago in house. This has been the coldest and cloudiest March of my life. It's March 23 and it's still getting down to the 40s in Shreveport. It's 2 pm right now and it's cold outside.

The good news is that seeds are cheap and I make my own soil.

After I cut my head of broccoli I leave it and it keeps growing side shoots. This is why I grow broccoli and not cauliflower although I do plant a little in the fall.
