They had a couple of cases at the Calandro's on Perkins yesterday, so I got a bottle. A few hours later, I went to Calandro's on Government and saw they only had a few bottles of Enjoy By. The store put up a sign "Limit 1 Enjoy By per customer. And you must buy another 22oz beer." WTF? I've heard of limits on special beers that sell fast, but never forcing someone to get another beer in a certain size. It seems to not make sense, unless they want to ditch bombers

It does seem a little strange, but typically I'm buying more than one bottle of different types anyway, so that wouldn't affect me.

I'm still shocked that there's enough interest in Enjoy By to warrant a bottle limit.

As are most of Stones beers and I'm not debating that but it shows up in huge numbers around here. Hell, I saw the November bottle on the clearance rack for $2 just last week. With so many good IPAs available now I can't see why anyone is actively seeking that one out.

Except that it's a DIPA and this is Louisiana. There aren't that many good ones available. Much less a guaranteed fresh DIPA. Much less a $7 bomber of a very fresh very good DIPA. We don't have that luxury here very often.

Certainly. Almost no other Cali or Colorado breweries in the state that make great DIPAs.

Whereas our neighbors to the east(AL) get most of the Cali and Colorado breweries that we would love to have.

We got 6 cases at Whole Foods for this go round. There should still be plenty left. shite. We are waiting for crescent crown to pick up 2 cases of the old batch we've been stuck with.

Hopefully the beer gate keeper at Alexander's doesn't read this, he will probably start keeping enjoy by in the back as well

Wow. That's funny. It was about a year ago I got a bottle at Whole Foods, then I asked my wife to get another one when she went there a day or two later. She said it was all gone and a manager laughed at her when she asked about Enjoy By.

It depends on which release she stopped by to get. The last one did not sell nearly as well. We never really hide shite in the back. If it comes in the door, we sell it

Enlighten you how?

Theres been numerous "rare" beers that dont get put on the shelf right away and are in the back the first few days. Nothing wrong with it, just stating facts.

I don't really care. It's just not something we practice. Especially on releases like Enjoy By. If it's something like Cantillion that we bring for a few people we know are looking, then yeah.

My point exactly.
