Any places around BR to kayak?

Looking to make an easy quick yak trip Monday or Tuesday... Anybody know any good places

there were several out at Henderson, Butte Larose, Pelba area yesterday...you can also put in at St James Boat club on Airline Hwy south...but the LSU lakes usually have the best view...

These guys have been clearing a bunch of BR waterways over the past year. They have a map of bayous and canals running through BR with access points.

I wish fishing Henderson yesterday. Put in at Kerns and fished the north pit and parallel to the interstate, then under the bridge some. Didn't go down to Pelba or Bigeaux though.

I was thinking about going that route soon.

ETA: I've never put in at Kern's. Do you still have to pay the $4 launch fee if you're in a yak?
