How does Tyron Johnson compare to Trey Quinn and Malachi Dupre? Is he on their level? Better? How does his speed compare? Hands? Leaping ability?

Is he clearly without question the best WR in the state? If not, who is in his category?

Thanks

He's the best WR in the state..best combination of speed, size, jumping ability, and hands.

I haven't seen enough of him, but from what I saw, he would be the 4th best in the state if Noil, Dupre, and Quinn were in this class.

id argue that he's just as good as if not better than Dupre, Noil, Quinn, Sims. I would put him at 2 in the 2014 class for most ready to go college wrs. 1. quinn 2. Johnson 3. Noil 4. Dupre. 5. Sims

Just going off tape, if he was in last years class he's below both guys. I put Dupree above because we saw Under Armor practices.

How about Jazz Ferguson compared to Cameron Sims? How do you rate them in comparison? Speed? Hands?

IMO (going off last years final rankings) He'd give Noil a running for his money for number one. (Quinn should've been rated higher PERIOD)

Ferguson definitely seems faster on film, a bit slighter (not as strong). Cameron Sims is a enigma, he just gets it done against whoever and he's got very strong hands. Ferguson will be a better player in the end, his potential is off the charts.

Dupre at 4....

I would have it 1. Dupre, 2. Quinn, 3. Noil, 4. Johnson.

Not a knock on Johnson at all. Its just that the other 3 were that good. And TJ could be ahead of Noil. Noil is the better athlete, but not an experienced WR.

I'd have Tyron at #1 for his shear playmaking ability and added advantage of being 6'2". Quinn is #2 because he comes in as a complete player and excels at everything a WR should do. Dupre is #3 because his potential has 1st rd written all over him, but he needs seasoning beyond his athletic prowess. Noil is 4th because while he is dangerous with the ball in his hands, how good is he at WR. He was mostly a QB so we'll see.

Speedy was the best WR at every camp he went to, and at the All-American game.

There's a big misconception that he is just a fast athlete that is good with the ball in his hands. He can catch extremely well, and run great routes.

Tyron would be 4th in last years class imo. But thats no snub because all 4 are really good.

But, quinn dupree and noil were legit 5 stars... Tyron is a top 100 type, he's 6'1 190, with 4.50 speed and polish/wr skills

I'm with alot of people on here about TJ he is a very explosive wr. He runs routes extremely well and he is a guy that could be a return man cause of his elusiveness. With all that said he is the third best if he came out this year #1 Noil #2 Dupree and Tyron Johnson cause he is everything Quinn is and more of a athlete probably by a little bit

Johnson is clearly #4 with last years 3 included. Matter of fact he's not even the best wr in the state that will play in hs next year. That honor goes to Mykel Jones. He might even be below Sullivan.

Quinn-better hands, speed and route running. Also is an inch shorter but about 15-20 pounds heavier. Johnson is a better pure athlete.

Dupre-better athlete, hands are similar, as is route running. Dupre is bigger by far. Johnson is quicker and faster

Noil-only thing Johnson has on him is size and not by that much.

Just don't see how anyone can rank him above any of those 3. The only thing that truly separates Johnson from a couple in the 15 class is his playmaking ability. A couple are better pure wrs(route running and hands)than him. (Chigbu for sure and Chatman/Charlot are close)

Travon Reed was a beast in camps too, I remember people saying the exact same things about him.

Noil has a HUGE ceiling, greater than all the WRs listed except maybe Dupre. But he also has the biggest possibility of not realizing his potential. There is a history of speed oriented QBs/RBs not being able to make a great transition to WR. It's a different world fighting through jams to get open and do a college WRs job when you didn't play as much WR in HS. (And when you are like Reed, Russell Shepard, and Speedy, and you could just burn the competition to a crisp in HS.)

You have great points what really is important is all yhe talent at wr is ridiculous the last 3 or so years. It's getting to a point to if you don't get one kid there is someone that could take his spot

They are all legit. Sims is better than people give him credit for, but he isn't on the level of Malachi, Trey, Tyron, or Speedy. Jazz isn't either as of now, but I've heard he is VERY strong despite his frame.

Quinn is #1 in National Records for a reason. He was the most proven WR compared to many classes from the past and future to come. Why everyone is always putting him behind other WRs is beyond me. Competition check, Speed Check, Size Check, and motor that doesn't quit Check. I extremely overjoyed that we have this many new top flight WRs on the squad but Quinn is my #1.

The reason my list was Quinn Johnson Noil dupre sims was because that was most college ready wrs. If it was on potential dupre would be 1, but I think it takes him a year or 2 to develop then he'll be a beast
