Going there this weekend....Is it just typical fair food? Or is there something unique that I might find there??

TIA

Skip all of the BBQ/Sausage places and the chain places (Pappasito's, etc.). I'm not against the chains, in fact I'm a huge Pappasito's fan, but their booths at the rodeo don't live up to the actual restaurants. Here's my pick: Polonia's - it's a polish themed place. The cabbage rolls were amazing and the sausage on a stick was better than the traditional "BBQ" places.

They have all your typical fair/carnival food. They do have a row of restaraunt vendors. I had Goode Co. BBQ. Brisket sandwich was goood. Going back Sunday and will try something else.

Both of these are right. Honestly, unless you're there for the cookoff, it's more of a hassle to eat inside the rodeo than it's worth. You're not going to find anything really special, and you'll probably be eating on the concrete after waiting 45 minutes for your cold brisket plate b/c the picnic tables are full of fatties, strollers, and kids.

Just go to the actual restaurant (Goode Company, Pappasitos, whatever...) before going.

Yup...eat before going. The food leaves a lot to be desired.
