There was a Tabasco thread Sunday night after the "60 Minutes" piece on them.

Someone said they have $200,000,000 in sells a year.

I went to Avery Island today. They said they bottle 700,000 bottles a day, 4 days a week. Thats 145,000,000 bottles a year.

This just seems high. Thats a billion bottles every 7 years. I know it is shipped world wide (they said they are the second most recognizable product in the world, behind Coca-Cola).

I know Tabasco is on every table, but how long does a bottle last the average person?

It shows...Unlike a lot of posters who just put anything just to up their post counts to gain the silly premium upgrades and rebates...sickens me.

On a related note, my wife just met with a college buddy whose marriage is on the rocks and she told me that she feels like our marriage is solid as rock after talking to the divorcing nut job...Uh, thanks? Honey...

That's including the tiny suvenier bottles as well as other small ones. There's like 3 bottles that I've seen smaller than the regular bottle.

I think they said Tabasco has the capacity to bottle 700,000 bottlers per day. They likely do not operate at 100% capacity.

About a month in our house. But we also use Crystal hot sauce. Some things I like Crystal better.

I saw the 60 Minutes episode and it was interesting. I've toured the Tabasco plant as well. And I don't even like hot sauce of any type (but seeing something being made or packaged is interesting to me).
