I think only for the number of WR's they pick up drafted or UDFA.
A stud WR is still attainable in this deep draft.

Not too much. He only has ten career catches and is coming off of a major injury. And Colston isn't getting any younger.

It could slightly affect the types of receivers were looking at in different rounds.

That's what I meant .. More along the lines of number of receivers. We still need a stud.

It shouldn't. If Loomis and co think they need a WR, Joe Morgan shouldn't change that. He's still an extremely unknown commodity. People forget that because his very few catches were so flashy.

Dude isn't even running yet. I doubt it. Probably more insurance in case they don't get anyone to replace him in the draft. He'll be fighting for his roster spot after the draft, IMO. Saints are going to get 1-2 WRs from the draft.

Has this been stated anywhere else besides a guy on SR thinking he read that somewhere?

If I had to guess, I would say it's very likely this and the Lorig signing fall under the top 51 rule.

I could be wrong though. Just seem like minimum or barely above minimum type signings.

Meachem is probably not coming back at this rate.

I'm thinking we go something like

Colston
Stills
Cooks
Toon
Morgan

going into games. Considering the fact cooks can be a mismatch piece we'll carry all 5.

Hes a Meachem replacement at best. He's got Victor Butler syndrome for some people on this board.

Dont forget we have Andy Tanner on standby. I would love to see him onboard the final 53. He's no speedster but he has very good hands. A good slot receiver and made some good special teams tackles in preseason last year.
