Star Wars Episode VII will take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi, Iger says. "Very familiar faces" along with trio of young leads

For what it’s worth, Iger told journalists today that the only one cast so far is R2-D2.

What about Chewie, or is a Wookie's lifespan similar to that of a dog?

Live hundreds of years. Prime age is about 200-250 or so, I think.

I don't see how you "can't" be excited.

Either their going to do it justice and let us experience the Star Wars universe again, or it's a bad movie and we decide to kind of forget about it. I mean does anyone REALLY mean "Phantom Menace" when you talk about Star Wars being great?

I'm "excited" for this to come out but at the same time I fully expect it to be just as bad, if not worse, than Episode I.

Unless Luke and Leia shape up (They were both huge the last time I saw them) then I won't be able to take it seriously. A fat Luke or Leia would ruin the movie for me.

Didn't Disney come out and say they were going to hire more black actors to get rid of racial disparity in the movies or some shite like that? I don't have a problem with it but it seems like a typical Disney PC move. I don't want Star Wars to be a fricking political or equality statement.
