Spinoff thread from the German Shepherd thread -

I have a German Shepherd-Beagle mix, and she sheds constantly. I brush her every few days and remove a second dog that was trapped underneath her coat. Still, I find dog hair tumbleweeds throughout my house, and if I don't vacuum weekly, the amount of hair that accumulates in the carpet stops up my vacuum cleaner. I have a Dyson.

Any tips or suggestions that I need to consider to help with this? I love my dog, so she's not going anywhere, but damnit, the hair needs to chill out.

Make sure the woman never tires of vacuuming, and dusting. It's a 24/7 cycle, she's going to need lots of stamina.

Vacuum weekly? You really need to vacuum everyday, I'd recommend twice a day...otherwise there is no magic cure for dog hair

Is that a real dog vacuum? I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

I leave my dog outside when I go to work. That seems to help more than anything else I have found.

Keep it outside. Otherwise, unpossible.

3 dogs here. We vacuum daily. Keep dogs groomed weekly. Bring dogs to groomers ever 1 to 2 months depending on the dog. Put it this way, you better love animals b/c it's half the work of a child.

Put that son of a bitch outside where it belongs.

The day I see a dog build a house is the day I think a dog has the right to live inside a house.

vacuum daily. It's a must if you have a dog that sheds.
