This seems like an ideal guy to target correct? He would fill the hole we have at the RB position that fills Sean Paytons offense known as the Bush/Sproles position. He would be cheaper than going after a FA out there that we may have to offer more money to. His stock isn't as high for some reason and we should be able to get him in the 3rd round.

What does the Saints Talk board say about this guy?

Don't expect him to be on the board in the 3rd. The Eagles have targeted him in the draft and Kelly already knows what he can do. So, the question is: Is he worth a 2nd round pick?

yeah this kid would be amazing in our offense. If the eagles snag him to go along with d-jax and maclin....wow! mind fricking blown there

Do not want if the price is that high. We need other positions and we're awesome at finding late/undrafted gems at RB. Plus at his size his combine was not impressive. I could see this guy getting knocked out of the league quickly he needs to add weight. Lots of other RB/WR options. Great college player

meh.....I've seen every one of his games and in the big time games against the big boys he had a problem putting the ball on the ground.

I've said it several times now, no thanks. Especially in the third. We have other needs to fill.

completely agree. sounds like he would be a luxury, not a need. you dont reach for luxury players.

Agreed, 3rd would be too high for DAT. Besides his fumbling problem, it seemed like even after coming back from his injury last year, Oregon still didn't use him as much as they did the previous year. He may still have had lingering effects from the injury, but it looked like they just trusted Marshall, Tyner, and Huff more.

A main reason Sproles had more success than Reggie is because he could pass protect extremely well.

DeAnthony Thomas, from what I've seen, is an extreme liability in pass protection. Add that to having fumble problems and I don't even want to see him on the field in the Saints' offense.

I think the Saints grab a RB in the draft. Id love Archer, Thomas, or Seastrunk. I definitely think we grab one of them in the mid rounds.

I think he will still be there in the fifth round. His 40 time hurt his stock greatly along with his small body frame. But he can do great in the saints offense!!!

Most are saying Dri Archer is a third rounder while Thomas has slipped to more like a middle round guy. Would be a big time reach in the third round.

DaAnthony Thomas is overrated. Put him on the field with defenders that have speed and size and he is just a decent nil player prob. Good college player though.
