Yes he was. My dad and I made it a point to watch Crocodile Hunter weekly together. I miss that.

Steve always got just a little too close. But I guess that also made for great tv. The whole world misses him, was an interesting an colorful guy.

He was genuinely fun to watch.

It was like the last big hurrah for the Animal Planet to show true live footage being captured featuring exotic animals, now we have to suffer through garbage like Animal Cops
