ive seen the hdmi hook ups for cell phones to connect to tv's and now that they are available, shouldn't cell phones have a different jack to charge into since the only one is being used??

They make adapters that charge and have an hdmi port.

You may likely need an MHL to HDMI adapter. Not sure how well these things work but its worth a shot. Of course if you have a smart TV you can connect your phone to the tv with 0 cords.

They do? Haven't seen those.. Just seen the Mico to hdmi to plug into the TV.. But you're saying it will do both simultaneously?

Why can't you just use a wall charger?

The power adapter for the hdmi connection is only needed for older TV that do not have a MHL compliant HDMI inputs. If your TV supports MHL, it should charge the device for you.

Basically, some TVs have a port marked HDMI/MHL. If you use that port, you will be able to xmit media from your phone to your TV and the TV will charge your phone at the same time

No problem

If it is an older TV with the MHL 1.0 standard, it may not charge your phone all that great because it will only output 0.5A
