Can't help you. I always wear a white shirt with a suit.

I just don't want the white shirt & grey tie. Tailor suggested a printed shirt. Idk about that.

I like red or blue with a grey suit. Short color should be muted, like a white.

I usually do an oxford blue with my Grey suits. Then again I've never been a big fan of white dress shirts.

Not everyone will be in a suit. It's not that formal. My wife and 2 kids are in the wedding so I will be up to par but it's not a tux event.

Gotya. I would seriously drop the brown shoes though. You can almost get away with it if they are a rich, dark cordovan, but I would always recommend wearing black shoes with gray.

Is he filling in for one of the catering staff? Droppin' funky beats from the D.J. booth?

I suspect he wants to look like an adult and someone who has worn a suit more than 4 times in his life. As such, go with a white shirt.

I will sport a Bow. Maybe if I had a vest of go with the Blake Griffen gamefly look. Probably go with a tie here though.

Bow ties are the only tie I've worn for about the past 20 years. If you're going four-in-hand, something with a bit of color is appropriate. I'm sure you'll make a tasteful choice.
