Grey suit with brown shoes works perfectly. As far as ties, I'd wear navy with a white or light blue shirt.

Go to suit supply.com to get some ideas

I have a light gray suit and I haven't found a combination I like better with it than my light purple shirt with a light purple tie that has a few designs in it. I try to mix it up but that is definitely my go to.

I like the peach colored shirt now that spring is pretty much here. I only wear light colored solid shirts with a suit. Mostly white, some light blue, peach, etc. Depends on how formal it is. Picking a tie is just so much easier with white or light blue.
And I don't wear black shoes unless I have to. Brown can look a little more casual, but it looks so much better. Even with grey.

I have pretty much all the pastels. I may try it on with a yellow or purple pastel to see how it looks.

There's nothing wrong with grey and brown.
Only thing wrong with it is it doesn't match.

It's still winter.
Jeez.

It MIGHT be a shade or two darker than the pic above that federal posted... But almost identical.

Grey suit and brown shoes?
Purple, peach, yellow pastels with suit during early March?
Posters knocking black suits for a night wedding...which is the norm.
I don't know where the hell some of y'all are from, but I need to get off this site.

Meh. They're both neutral colors. Nothing wrong with it.

It looks cheap.

It's going to be 70 degrees here this weekend. I don't care if its early March, its spring. I wouldn't wear a dark wool suit to a wedding in Hawaii just because it was December. It's all about the time of the year for the location you are.

I'll wear brown shoes with grey slacks and button down. It looks nice. If I do a full suit I stick with the black.
It has to be the right grey brown combo though.

These people make it difficult for the rest of us.
Thank God for Mississipi. Or we'd be last at everything.
