SIAP, MG weekend was a long one and might of missed something.

On Monday (March 3), Founders Brewing of Michigan announced that it will enter the Louisiana market on April 1.

quote:

Louisiana will receive the full year-round lineup: All Day IPA, Centennial IPA, Dirty Bastard, Porter and Pale Ale. The current seasonal Red's Rye IPA will also be sent in limited quantities, along with Curmudgeon Old Ale, a seasonal released each year in April. The Breakfast Stout will be released in New Orleans on draft and in bottles next September.

quote:

For the launch, a brewery spokesperson said Founders might also send a few limited releases. The brewery, however, would not confirm if the cult-favorite KBS would be among those beers.

Founders regular lineup is awesome but it's the Breakfast Stout and the possibly of limited releases (KBS!) that has me pumped. Hoping the Pub will get a few of these "limited releases"

Sadly, no, but with breweries coming into LA at what seems like monthly it wouldn't surprise me if Lag is getting close.

Beer trades may soon be null and void minus special releases and small local breweries

Founders is a good add for Louisiana. Oddly, since they arrived in FL several months ago I seldom if ever drink their products any more. I used to trade for them all of the time. You always want what you cant have!

Just guessing, but I'd say they would expand this way when their new brewery opens up in Chicago.

I'm excited about All Day IPA.

yep

and although I will always welcome more options, with the local craft scene emerging in LA, I probably won't buy much of any of these breweries regular lineups

I'd prefer to stick with local stuff for that

we really need DFH in LA just because of the sheer variety of beers they produce

I like trying new types of beers, and DFH is not afraid to try just about anything
