Personally I'm a pass line/odds player. When I don't feel too good about the come out roll, I'll lay down a field bet (the odds suck in BR though).

When I find a good shooter I like to bet the hard ways.

I pretty much avoid all other bets like the plague and am very superstitious. Don't like being around new players.

Pass/Odds and 5 & 9

My dad however plays everything. Gotta start off with a larger bank roll to play that way though.

Love craps.

Pass line
odds if 6 or 8
field bets if I dont like the point and feel lucky

Great feeling when someone throws a 2 or 12 and you have a field bet down

Not really, I don't always do it. I do pass/odds sometimes as well. One time in Tunica one of the dealers saw me betting it and just shook his head at me

If I do win, I don't celebrate, just kinda stand there nobody cares. If they did say something serious to me I'd tell them to frick off.

Got real drunk at the casino one night last semester. We were winning big money (just me and two buddies on the table).

We starting throwing down YO bets for the dealers. They'd throw $3 YO and I'd one up them with $5 YO.

And then we'd hit it. This happened like 5 times. Along with other random dealer bets. They loved us. It was a blast.

I play pass line until I get some house money. Then 5 & 9. I like to throw on all the hard ways as well. Sometimes a field bet if I'm up.

It's just ignorance/superstition. The analysis proves that it's the correct way to play the game.

Any casinos in the gulf region giving out better than 2x on 2 & 12 for field bets?

I usually throw $5 on myself for fire bets

I do to.

I also play at Harrah's properties so I don't have a limit on what odds I can place.

Also never play pop up craps, I did for some reason last time and just sat there and kept losing money.

Here's my take from years of experience:

Always (!!!) get your odds behind the pass line, even if the point is terrible (4,10). Trust me, you get compensated for the risk when these points are rolled.

When starting out at the table, play just the pass line and place bet one number. Get a crap check ($1 or $2) as insurance on every come out roll. Build house money and then place bet two or three numbers to go with your pass line bet. If you are really up, then bet all hardways.

Never bet the field. Ever.

Why never bet the field? By my calculation, there are 16 ways to roll a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.

Even with the shitty 2x 2 & 12 odds found here, that's a 16/36 chance of a hit with the bonus included its a fair payout even at 2x IMO.

Learn me up though please

Field bets are for suckers.

If you bet the come, take odds.

If you make place bets, buy the 4 and 10.

Stay away from prop bets. Unless it's the come out.

Tip the dealers.
