Alamo Theater is playing Clerks here in Houston at 9:30

I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

Fun Fact: ^^^ this guy runs Kevin Smith's comic shop.

I'm a fan and unlike a lot of guys like him I think he is cool in interviews too. He seems very down to earth.

Sold his whole comic collection to fund Clerks. I can respect going all in like that.

It´s been a long time since Clerks. I liked the movie. However, I don´t even recognize this Kevin Smith. Pretty weird.

I think his college presentations are better than his movies.

I did like Clerks for sure. Clerks 2 not so much except for Rosario Dawson's character saying, sometimes you go arse to mouth.

Not a fan of Dogma, Jersey Girl, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, etc.

It would probably be cool to smoke some weed with Kevin Smith.

Should check out "Comic Book Men" sometime...they have some of them on Netflix. It's about the comic book store he owns named Jay and Silent Bob's comic books or some shite like that. Basically it's a bunch of comic book nerds that gather around in a podcast format talking about all the shite the buy and sell in the store and what not. It's a lot of fun and he really does seem like a cool dude.

I got bored one day and decided to watch one episode just to see whats up..... then I marathoned that shite on Netflix.

I know they are a bunch of nerdy dudes talking about nerdy stuff but they just crack me up. Especially the Bryan guy who doesn't actually work there at all.

I don't dislike Kevin Smith and I see the appeal for fans. His movies just aren't good IMO.

He's funny and insightful as hell when talking in front of audiences - hence his college tours I've seen.

Kevin Smith fan :raiseshand:

You're lucky if you're going. Never seen it on the big screen. I still like to wrangle out of places.

I like his movies but I love Clerks. I think he really captured something there....I also watched it for the first time at a time when I was working retail.

I mean....the job WOULD be great if it wasn't for the fricking customers.

I've watched Clerks at least 4 times. No complaints at all.

I went into Dogma waiting for awesomeness. It's been a solid slope since.

But when I watch his speaking tour, saw at least 2 on netflix in last 5-7 years, dude is witty, insightful, has solid perspective, etc.

I wasn't as huge of a fan of Clerks as much as my friends were.

I liked Kevin Smith's critique of Superman Returns. He comes off as a smug arse sometimes.

I can't really say I'm a fan. Whatever it was that made me watch his movies in the past has lost it's appeal with me.

Clerks is one of the great movies of my generation.
The incredibly deep dialogue of two guys with meaningless jobs coupled with toilet humor was really a great dynamic.

Boo those that didn't enjoy it.
