Just came back from spending a week there with my wife. To say that the food was amazing would be an understatement. This was the first time we had been since they opened their brewery. Took a tour of their brewery and drank a lot of their three varieties: classic saison, farmhouse pale ale, and screaming cock (Belgian double). Also tried a few of their experimental brews that they will add when they expand their facility later this year.

Has anyone else been? We love the place... Just got back and we are trying to figure out when we are going back.

How about some more detailed meal reviews or pictures?

It's been on my radar for a few years, but I'm having a hard time on convincing myself to pull the trigger.

I honestly left my phone in the room 99% of the time so I don't have pictures. The menu changes daily for both the casual breakfast/lunch restaurant and The Barn which is the fact jacket-required dinner restaurant. Dinner last night was my favorite meal

First course: venison carpaccio with pickled mushrooms, ramps, and brussel sprouts.

2nd course: seared diver scallops with vanilla parsnip purée

3rd course: pork loin and crispy pork shoulder over farro with black garlic

Dessert: cornbread pain perdu with chocolate ice cream

It was a fantastic meal. Sorry for the lack of pics. I should know better

Went for my honeymoon. It is all you have said and more. The food was one of a kind and outstanding. The wife and I still talk about it and will be going back one day soon

Very high end boutique resort in eastern Tennessee. Ranked among the best of these kind of places in the country.
Pay some ungodly about of money and the meals, drinks, room, etc is all included.

Ive wanted to go, but the wife isnt crazy about a grand a day a person for lodging and food if its not a beach or island.

We have a milestone anniversary coming up tho, an this may b where I request we go.

ETA: I think this would be alot of fun trip alone with yout spouse..... or with a few other couples. I tried to pass it off as a couple of our friends getting together and going.... She may like it better if just us.

That's kind of how I feel. I'm sure it would be an awesome two or three night place, but I can't get my head around going to Tennessee to spend that kind of money.

We've never been to the carribean, so that will be our next big trip. Might try blackberry farms when we are a little older.

I thought I remember them having some discounts certain times of the year.

It's basically set up to where you have to do nothing but relax. Want to go fish? They will have a golf cart waiting for you. You hop in, drive to the pond, use the ready to go rods. Same with tennis and basketball. They have horses all over the place and the grounds are beautiful to walk/golf cart around. Three meals a day are covered, and they are amazing. Time for dinner? Call the desk and in five Minutes there is a Lexus waiting to take you across the grounds to "The Barn." Late night snack? There is a fully stocked fridge with glass bottle cokes, etc. When you are getting ready to leave they put a sack lunch in your car for everyone. And let me tell you. .. this ain't the cold turkey sandwiches my arse is bringing to work everyday.

Caveats: extras (horse riding, massage, fly fishing, booze) is extra and pricey.

My in-laws discovered they place several years ago and gave my wife and I a two night stay on our honeymoon (we went to Asheville first). I don't believe anything is with $1200 a day unless it involves blow and strippers, but this was pretty damn close to perfect

It is in Walland, Tn just outside of the national park. It is expensive but worth it in our mind. Plan on dropping 1500 to 2000 a day if you do a lot of the extra activities or drink a lot of wine. You will never hear an employee tell you no. Also, the wine collection is insane. We did a wine tasting in the cellar at The Barn... They have approximately 150,000 bottles of wine down there.

Walland, TN its lands border Smoky Mountain National Park.

If go through Knoxville get off on Highway 129 head to Townsend its a few miles past that area.

Food is great but you will pay for every activity such as fly fishing on your own in Hesse Creek. I have been and while I found food impressive I was not impressed with their activities.

Join their Friends of the Farm and you will get email specials about discounted days. Once a year the have a reduced rate special but you have to call during a 24 hour period and there are black out dates. You can get a really nice deal from Jan - March especially if you like food and wine.
