When Did Costas Become a Full Time Political Agitator?

Maybe I haven't kept up with him enough, it seems like he went off the edge in the past few years, he has no business at any sporting event, he needs a show on MSNBC.
During tonights opening he tried to bait IOC Chairman Bach into a political topic involving Russian human rights and gays, it is Bach's supreme mission to be apolitical.

Off the edge is a place with which you're apparently familiar. You need to chill, holmes.

Thanks for responding to the topic, move along please. The fact remains Costas is not a sports commentator who make political remarks, he's a full on leftist demagogue who uses sporting events as a platform.

He's one of the better sports reporters and commentators in the business. His career pretty much establishes that fact irrefutably. He just pisses you off because you don't like the fact that he occasionally voices an opinion with which you disagree.

Not really, if he wasn't a democrat shill working for a propaganda driven network he would have been cast to wayside for some blonde years ago.

God have mercy. This board is in full bloom tonight.

He's become a complete joke. If he wants to be a political pundit, he should get a job where that's the job description.
Then again, NBC is a complete joke, so they make a good team.

I'm a big fan of the Winter Games, watching him open has been unbearable, I am surprised the Russians haven't poisoned him yet, especially after he tried to bait the IOC chairman into a heated political topic tonight about Russian human rights issues and gays. It wasn't the time nor the place, he's a piece of shite.

Well, hes on NBC. I think that is their norm.

Meanwhile, Costas was addressing Kiev as if it was right up the road from Sochi; as if embers from Ukrainians' self-immolations were likely to waft in on the breeze at any point, and set Sochi rooftops on fire..
Just . . . not . . . necessary.

I saw that. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I wish Bach would have handled Costas the same way Nelson Mandela handled Ted Koppel when he tried to get sanctimonious with him.

I don't know about that. He seemed to be spouting off neocon talking points tonight.

I missed that. When did that happen?

Well, props to "pink eye"! At least it kept him away for a week or so. But I see he still has a case of the "brown nose" that has not healed yet.

I think he should spend more time talking about abortion mills and illegal immigration.

If I'm not mistaken.... Costas had to open up his pie hole regarding the Redskins as well.

It made "Project Runway" look like Duck Dynasty. Near the segment's end, Weir fawned over one colorful girly ensemble and asked if it looked "Too Butch",
