Just give a bunch of stats that makes it sound like you're talking about America, then say that it ended horribly, then reveal it was stats about Rome.

Where I'm not a history buff, I am interested in some.

Please... Go on. Explain.

yes, please explain with something other than "everyone is too overconfident that their empire will remain in place forever, and the complacency is going to doom us all" or something like that.

Don't forget to mention about how society collapses when the public realizes they can vote themselves free crap by electing certain types into office, which causes the fall of the society.

Just like we are doing by electing Obama with the promise of free phones!

"I come here not to praise Rome, but to bury her"

"A Centurion, a Tribune, and a slave walk into a bar..."

Rome was a melting pot of sorts... The late emperors even came from barbarian decent. As those barbarian armies were driven east by the hun invasion, it became too hard for Rome to keep up it's borders. Eventually the empire went down without much of a fight, ceding land to invading tribes and running out of money to buy armies to fight its battles.

Obviously the op may have a different talking point as there are many theories, but based on my knowledge that the gist of it.

You mean the phones provided under a program enacted by Ronald Reagan and expanded by George W. Bush? Those phones?

Which Obama then turbocharged to stratospheric levels. Yes, those phones.

Obama didn't invent food stamps either. He just tripled the amount the govt. doles out.
