Before diving into any extremely generalized bullshite threads about "Libtards" or "Republican'ts", there needs to be a mutual understanding of all sides that there are intelligent people at the top of each branch of political mentalities. I'm sick of seeing some stupid crap that republicans don't believe in evolution or democrats think astrology is real. Believe it or not, no matter how much you disagree with the other party, they want what they think is best for the USA. Quit thinking your party is high and mighty. We can all go back and forth finding stupid people in a different party that have a voice due to the internet. Stop generalizing and start coming up with better ideas other than throwing dirt.

Thats just it... I don't believe it..
I would suggest you will not find very many if any elected to congress that approaches their personal finances and raising their kids using the same approach and values they do when executing the duties of the position they have been elected to...
I believe most are there for their own good not mine (or ours...)

Yea, they truly believe America loves pork.

Let me review your post history. I seem to remember you being a pretty heavy offender.

I'm not talking about the members of our congress and office. I'm referring to fellow members of the board here and everyday folks that share different ideas.

Not really. Most people are pretty selfish and are looking out for themselves.

If everyone votes in their own self interest, then isn't the majority winning anyway?
And no, not all voters want what's best for the U.S.
Hell, most of them don't even know what would be best. I'd venture to say more than half of the citizens that vote, are voting for the letter in front of the name with little to no information as to what that candidate stands for.

just because someone doesn't know what's best doesn't mean they don't want what's best. Some of you are disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing

And therein is the problem..."THEY think is best" for me and you. Show me a dictatorial government and I'll show you folk at the top who believed the same.
Some people just have an attitude, dawg...plain and simple. We've fought World Wars over this very stuff, and are likely to fight one more. And as Einstein put it..."I don't know manner of weaponry WWIII will be fought with...but WWIV will be fought with clubs and stones" (paraphrase).
I get the spirit of you post though; I'm all in for HONEST DIALOGUE. Damn the PC.
