Hawthorne will love another uncommon name I'd imagine.

He might contend to kick FGs once Colby D is gone or if Colby D has a bad stretch, but that's about it. I watched his punting from his Chris Sailer video and he was hitting them about 45-50 yards max with horrible hangtime. Take back the 14 yards or so, and those are 30-35 yard line drive punts. Unless he drastically improves, he will not be punting for LSU.

I assume this thread is about Kyle Pfau, I mentioned him in the preferred walk-on thread. He looks like a good prospect.

Good pickup. I know Kyle through Audrey. Both his parents were athletes at LSU too. He definitely had some good offers

Alex Kjelsen is likely better.

Sailer likes him a lot and Sailer generally knows kickers.

Highlight vids of FG show him using a tee = taboo

The kid is not a punter at all.

I know it shows him punting in one of his videos, but thats just Sailer's videos and camps, shows them doing everything

Pfau a field goal kicker
Gamble is a kick off specialist
Gamble probably has a stronger leg and the staff values field position and sees potential in him (I don't know why people didn't realize that and bashed Cameron for getting and offer and committing)
Kyle won the FG competition at LSU's summer camp the past two years, gamble was competing as well

Kyle had multiple scholarships and several PWO offers from big time schools
Huge get as a PWO, could evolve into a Colby D kind of player and have a nice impact as a Tiger

and? I find it surprising that someone is a fan of Gamble, yet will down a walk-on.
