Javi has been stuck in the batting cages and unable to find his way out.

That's surprising to hear about Riverbend. Have y'all gotten more cops in the area since the rise in break ins. That is too nice and calm of a neighborhood to have that type of shite go on back to back.

Break-ins? or home invasions? Too many home invasions happening. Too many bold criminals breaking in houses with the family there. Probably cause criminals know that even if they are caught, the odds of them doing major time isn't likely. That needs to change although I know its :beatdeadhorse:

I don't know I have heard stories like someone having the back door kicked in along with other things.

Break in maybe home invasion maybe I'm not really sure what the differences.

I just know crime is up and while pretty much all the people in Riverbend are good law abiding citizens right outside there is brightside and with the crappy apartments on alvin dark and some of the apartments on brightside itself are not great it raises crime. Brightside over the past 10 or so years has greatly expanded with new apartments and such unfortunately for the people in riverbed this development has brought more crime to the area. It is still a very safe neighborhood you just have to make sure to keep your door locks and maybe have a security system.

This the Louisiana Law:
Home invasion is the unauthorized entering of any inhabited dwelling, or other structure belonging to another and used in whole or in part as a home or place of abode by a person, where a person is present, with the intent to use force or violence upon the person of another or to vandalize, deface, or damage the property of another.
Louisiana has a special provision if the individuals in the home when the crime is committed are elderly, children, or disabled
(2) Whoever commits the crime of home invasion when, at the time of the unauthorized entering, there is present in the dwelling or structure any person who is under the age of twelve years, is sixty-five years of age or older, or who has a developmental disability as defined in R.S. 28:451.2, shall be fined not more than ten thousand dollars and shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than ten nor more than twenty-five years. At least ten years of the sentence imposed shall be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

Breaking and Entering is defined as the act of gaining passage into and entering another's property (as a building or vehicle) without privilege or by force.
With B&E and Burglary, there is usually no victim present during the crime.

Home Invasion has the intent to do violence on the residents of the home in the definition.

Not that the media would report the race anyway... sickening

You may be misunderstanding their comments.
You may not have noticed this but when the national media report on a crime, the suspect's race is usually not identified if that suspect is black, but they do usually include race, and sometimes ethnicity for white, asian,or hispanic suspects.
The local media also has a tendency to do this as well, unless the police are requesting the public's help in finding a suspect.
Now are the media being racist doing this? Sure.
This is what they may have been referring to in their comments, not necessarily the statistical probability of the suspect in this case being black.
