Current rig:

CoolerMaster HAF-X
Stock cooling fans
Hyper 212 CPU cooler
8gb Ram
EVGA GTX 570 SC
500gb Caviar Black primary HD
1TB HD for storage
Intel 2500k
ASRock Extreme4 MOBO
Windows 7

What I'm thinking is dropping in a Samsung EVO 256g5 SSD for my primary drive and then use the previous HD's for secondary apps and storage. Then I'd like to upgrade the video card, but I'm debating between a SC 2gb GTX 770, the 780, and 780ti. It's basically a price vs performance issue here as I could run current and future games very comfortably with the 770, but I do prefer single cards vs SLI setups so that's why I'm considering the 780/780ti. I also might replace the hyper 212 with a Corsair H100i. Other than that, I'm thinking of upgrading the stock fans and maybe adding an additional fan or two. I think I'm good for games coming out this year with regards to the 2500k and my MOBO; I'd like to upgrade them but they're not current necessities.

Thoughts? Also, neither my CPU nor my 570 is overclocked at all.

get the SSD for sure

any of those video cards would be great. I'd just get whichever one your budget allows or if you find a good deal on one of them

Unless you are gaming in something higher than 1080p, that 780ti will be overkill.

Yeah, I'm on a 1920x1200 monitor and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon and will not be using dual or multiple monitors. The Ti was more for future-proofing. I'm leaning toward the 770 unless anyone thinks the 780 provides enough of a performance boost to justify the extra ~200 bucks.

What do you currently run? Let us know how you like the card.

Yeah I technically don't need the upgrade yet, I mean I've got no problems running games like Crysis 3, a heavily-modded Crysis, Metro: Last Light, The Witcher 2, etc. But with games like DA3 and The Witcher 3 coming out I really want to be able to take in the eye candy.

Nothing demanding has come out lately or will soon for me but I figure they will before this year is over. I'm prepping for watch dogs, i don't think the south park game will tax me too much

eta: I fully recommend you check this LINK

Do it. I bought one to replace my 660 Ti, and I love it. I'm running two 1080p monitors with a 144Hz refresh rate. It's definitely a step up from the 660 Ti without a doubt.

Nevermind. I paid this for my 770. Get that 780 no doubt. I was in a bit of a rush to replace the card so I ran out to Best Buy and grabbed it. If you can get a 780 for that price, jump on it.

A couple of days ago there was one for $269 but I missed it. My 7870 for an offer for $175. I countered with $185 but will take whatever he sends back

What are the products making up "B Stock?" Used items, previously damaged and now repaired? Where's the discount coming from?

From what I was told they are damaged (but not broke) and repaired. We shall see, I ordered one of the 780s Wednesday.
