Think I I am down to this choice to give it one more try before i pay the ultimate price. Any success? Pros & cons? Thanks for any input.

Helps. You have to want to stop though.

I have tried for 5 years to quit, and with this thing it hasn't been easy but i have been successful for the last two months. I have tried everything, gum, patch chantix, with no luck. I have slipped but it was just once and got right back on the vaporizer. Went to the doc today actually and lungs sound great and blood pressure is perfect. I highly recommend you give it a try if you want to quit

I have a tesla vaporizer, make sure you get one where you can adjust the wattage. Gives a better throat hit in the morning when you need it, and you can turn it down to get less throughout the day

I have a Lotus e-cig that I bought at High Life behind Five Guys. I'm not trying to quit anything, but it is quite enjoyable. There are a lot of great flavors, but it doesn't quite compare to a cigarette.

Agree with the other posters. I don't smell like shite, can smell and taste better, breathe better, and it's cheaper. Get a good refillable one. I use a vapage ecig, vpro650.

First few weeks were tough when drinking but now, for the first time since I was 18, I don't want an actual cigarette. I'll slowly drop the nicotine dosage.

I have know a few people to use it to "quit," but I still see them use it every once in a while. I'm of the opinion that cold turkey is the way to go. If you're ready to quit, you're ready to quit. Why drag it out? If you can't quit cold turkey, you aren't going to quit with an ecig. Quitting is all about breaking the ritual. Ecigs keep the ritual.

My wife and I both changed to an ecig in September. If you can't quit regular cigs by using an ecig then you don't want to quit.

The number one thing I can tell you is don't use an e cig that looks like a regular cigarette. Get you an ego style battery, a Kanger T3s (or similar style) clearomizer, and several flavors of juice that you think you may like.

I buy my juice from here. They have the best prices that I've found. Start out with 15ml bottles of 80/20 24mg (of nicotine) blend and you can step down the nicotine content as you go.

I do agree.

I have the Lotus Blu-Raz juice and it's great, but I have another cartridge that I got from a friend and it works much better.

It's helped me a tremendous amount. I started using one last august. Haven't smoked a single cigarette since. Since then, I've been leveling down the nicotine amount to the point where I only use it intermittently during the day (coffee, take a break, etc). I did the math one day and compared to the $6.00/day I was spending on a pack of cigarettes, I'm only spending $0.67/day (30ml bottle with 1ml/day). That comes out to $2190/year on cigarettes compared to $244.55/year. That's a 89% reduction in cost and an extra $1945.45 a year in my pocket ($162.12/month).

True, it's still nicotine but you cut to the Crux of the issue and that is the nicotine. I also had tried every method from gums, patches and cold turkey to try to quit but nothing worked. The cold turkey was horrible and even worse due stresses at work. Gums and patches didn't help because I found myself still craving cigarettes and smoking even when I knew I shouldn't be while on the patch. People can knock or mock it all they want to but it's not their lives they're dealing with. I seriously thought it was hopeless and that I needed to accept my fate that I was addicted far worse than I thought and that I was going to die from this and there was no way out because I had exhausted every option until I was introduced by a friend to give this a chance. Thank god I did because it is literally the only method that has helped me personally and that's all that matters.

ETA: I use a ego battery with an evod kanger bottom coil tank.

As far as noticeable changes, I'm sleeping better, no more hacking shite up at night when I lay down to go to bed, I no longer see stars when I get up too quickly, my toes no longer get numb in the shower, I'm breathing better, my mood has improved so much, I no longer smell like absolute shite, I can go see my mother without shame of the stench and I have so much more energy to the point where I've started running again with no problems. It's really been an inspiration to me in that I really can quit and I'm no longer a slave.

They helped me more with the habit than anything, you've still got to be able to deal with the cravings. Just takes a bit of willpower.

2 years without a smoke because of e-cig.

Get a battery mod (vamo, provari, etc.) or at least a variable voltage ego battery. Try some tanks or cartomizers to see what flavors result (it is small capacity but my favorite is the Kanger M3). Find a good flavored juice. The RY4's are usually good. My favorite is Madd Monkey by Vapor Beast (banana nut muffin seems like a strange replacement for cigs, but the rich, sweet flavor really works for me).

Go to e-cigarette forum and study up so your first purchase goes well.

I couldn't have quit without it. I still keep it on me for cravings but I rarely need it. I was a pack a day smoker and had tried to quit many times before. This thing probably saved my life.

This, I haven't smoked Tobacco in 6 months. I don't even crave a cigarette anymore. I love how your smell & taste comes back. Congrats drewnbrla

I'm 31 going on 32. I started way younger than I'd like to admit, which was 12/13 years old. I only dabbled at that age but it ramped up in my early high school years. It was hard to tell that I smoked considering I played baseball and soccer and was never winded because my body was conditioned to the exercise. College only made it worse due to the stresses of class and Boredom.

Thanks. And yes it's so true about the taste and smell. Everything tasted like cardboard while I was smoking because I couldn't taste a damn thing. Now, I can taste even the smallest of ingredients and that's another one of the benefits. Along with actually being able to breath without congestion and my sinus infections have virtually disappeared except for those caused by drastic temperature changes. to you as well on your journey

My all day juices are Pina Colada, Moo Juice (strawberry cream), and Vanilla Butternut. If you like a cooling or menthol flavor Hawk Sauce and Thug Juice are good.
