What size do I need? I have a burner just no pot and want to get one before this season is over.

60-80qt
Hope the weather warms up soon to have decent crawfish.
You'll be able to use it for crabs and shrimp though!

I'd go with at least the 100qt. Especially if you're in to throwing a bunch of weird shite into the pot. I have friends that do green beans, hot dogs, etc.

You should consider how many sacks you will be boiling. If it's normally 1 sack, an 80 or 100 qt pot will work. If you like to add more than just corn and potatoes, go with a 100 qt pot.

120 qt pot if you need 2+ sacks.

I won't be boiling more than one sack at a time, but there will be all the extras going with them!

That's my thought too. You can always just put less water in the pot.

I have a 100qt and there is more than enough room.

Multiply the pot size in quarts by 0.6 to figure the pounds of crawfish you can cook in it. Allows room for extras, too.

Last year I got a Cajun Rocket pot and frankly i was amazed at the efficiency of fuel usage and how quickly it brings to a boil.

They aren't inexpensive, though IMHO I think they are worth it. I'm going to get some more of them I have the 80qt at present. They are a Louisiana company

When my current pot craps out I'm going with a rocket pot since I boil natural gas.
