Good cracklings. Good sausage. Bad boudin. Not sure what is in it but it doesn't taste right.

And not a fan of the fried stuffed pistolettes. But not a fan of those anywhere.

Bad boudin

The one in Shreveport has pretty good boudin, but their seafood boudin tastes like nothing. It has little or no seasoning added to it.

Maybe just me and my limited experience with boudin, though.

I have gone to the location in Shreveport several times and the seafood boudin is not great but the rest is pretty good. I have bought several of their marinated ribeyes and they are awesome. The marinade is great IMO. Not sure if the one in Port Allen uses the same.

I love their smoked boudin. Good flavor to me. I also love their smoked chicken wings.

It's not necessarily my personal favorite texture, but the flavor is darn good. Makes good stuffed bell peppers, too.

Best plate lunches in town. Very good smoked sausage.

Agreed that the boudin is not good.

I like Bergeron's "little smokies" style small sausages. Very tasty.

Great cracklins, great sausage. Never tried the boudin...I'll drive to the Bestop, Don's, or Johnson's Boucaniere to get that.

I don't care much for their boudin either, but their pistolettes are delicious (granted I'm a fan of them everywhere ). They also have these amazing bacon stuffed smoked chicken patties, and solid BBQ wings and pork tasso.
