Do we really need to go through this rigamarole again?

Or can we just accept that this Farm Bill was the best thing all parties could negotiate and will actually help U.S. farmers and the U.S. economy immensely compared to what was the status quo of no Farm Bill.

Don't be too concerned. By the time it filtered through the bureaucracy, and all of the social programs aspects of the federal guidelines were administered (minority staffing, environmental reviews of environmental reviews, underserved constituents, etc. etc. etc.) $375 million would have conserved about 20 acres or so.

but look at the milk lobby.. they go to congress and set prices on milk, so they can sit around rake in the dough

They cut out the direct payments in favor of price supports and insurance

no I can't just accept this. I'm tired of just accepting that things are the best we can do when they clearly are not nothing but government pork paying people to NOT grow things while they grow other profitable things like corn that ruins my freaking Gulf of Mexico.
