Job Description
Manages Inventory levels at various warehouse locations. Coordinates inventory cycle count activities. Manages material staging, tasks associated with logistics, and provides shipping, receiving and expediting support to procurement staff as required. Provides heavy manual work, loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers by hand, hand truck/dolly and/or forklift equipment (small, medium and heavy duty). Evaluates material and coordinates activities for material shipping, receiving and project material staging, validates material documentation (MTR, Certs, etc.) and builds supporting documentation files as required.

Required Skills
Knowledge of gas pipeline related materials. HS graduate or GED required. Excellent organizational skills.

Associates degree and previous inventory, warehousing or procurement experience preferred. Ability to operate a forklift. MS Office and previous experience with SAP-MM a plus.

Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with changing priorities and deadlines. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

I am a purchasing agent at a large plant about 20 minutes from my house. This plant is about 45 minutes away. I make about $46,000 at my current position. I've only been here 1 year and expect my salary to increase. Problem I have is I don't care much for the work. At this point, I'm no more than a clerk, processing orders in the system. Not sure I'd be too interested in unloading material either though. If they money were good enough, say $60,000, I'd be on it. HS graduate required tells me it's about a $16/hr. job. They are calling me to interview and I don't want to be rude.
