Needed a beer with lunch. FBD is a Tin Roof coffee porter aged on bourbon oak at Pelican House. Not gonna lie, this one is really good.

Will probably be having wine with the little wife later at home for our in-house steak date night, after kids are shoved away for an early bedtime, of course. However, since I can't stand having to wash down food with wine, will have a beer with my meal. Either a wheat or IPA.

Also means it's very doubtful I'll be chiming into this sausage fest tonight to update you on what my beer selection was, since I know so many of you care. Therefore...cheers, and may the beer odds be in your favor!

FBD - Cascade Oblique Black and White Stout. Again, the flavor does not resemble the color. You have to close your eyes and tell yourself you're drinking a stout. Nice chocolate roasted malt flavors. The nose has a distinct coffee flavor. Decent, but not great by any means...

You'll have to come to Portland, 'cuz they don't bottle it.

I'm at Cascade's Raccoon Lodge. Fun place. Tap list is great, especially if you like sours...

I sought this one out at a friends reccomendation after debating the merits of Ft. George's coffee IPA.

I had the blue point sour cherry imperial stout the other day that was that color. Threw me off my game for a moment.

I've often wondered how you brew a white stout? My best guess would be an ale aged on coffee grinds.

FBD: Chafunkta Old 504 - Really like this beer
SBD: Lazy Magnolia Black Creek - Thin for a stout, but nice flavor
TBD: The Bruery Mash - Damn this is good... I love a barrel aged barleywine.
