Applebees Review

As we arrived, we were seated promptly. It was moderately crowded and we sat at a high top in the Sports Zone!
Waitress was ok but not great. She forgot lemon for the water, but then went and got it.
I usually go with the 2 for $20 unless I am by myself (haha!), but decided to get the appetizer sampler since this was a special occasion. 3 monthaversary.
My date got a Sutter Home White Zin. She said it was good. I got a Lemon Drop Martini. It had tequila in it and it was zingy!
The spinach artichoke dip was the hit, but the chips were not as good as Chili's.
My date got the savory salmon and I got the cajun shrimp pasta. The salmon was a bit overcooked. My shrimp seemed like it might have been frozen. And it didn't seem that cajun to me.
We had dessert shooters to finish things off. The hot fudge sundae was the best. The ice cream was super cold and the hot fudge was just right.
Overall it was a good time.

This isn't even a compelling troll.

This one was pretty evident, but, honest to God, it's sometimes tough to absolutely sure on TD with some the posters . . . especially the PoliBoard.

The beer pretzel sticks with mustard sauce are pretty decent, kids eat free on Tuesdays, and kids like Applebees, and it's one of the closest restaurants to me.
Though I always feel like shite when I eat Applebees and Chilli's. I actually threw up in the parking lot last time I had Chilli's.

I want you to post the selfie from this event...I know you have it. Her hair better be high and your wife beater must be stained.

I would say the average Applebee's patron is the regular suburban joe. It's not the same people at the Chinese buffets or Golden Corral.
That said, it sucks how these crappy restaurants have killed off so many better Mom and Pop places.

You know I actually had Applebee's not too long ago. Someone gave us a gift card, and we didn't feel like cooking. I got the chicken finger platter with a side of shredded cheese. Sounds weird, but it brings back memories of hanging our with my grandma when I was little. We'd eat there, go to the mall, then go watch a movie. So while I'd never recommend Applebee's to anyone, maybe once a year or so I go just to have that memory come back.

Dang. I suck at trolling.
You guys could have at least gone along with it for my 10,000th post.
I need to start thinking about 15K now.

I have to eat Applebee's on Monday's when I'm in Franklin VA. It's the only "sit down" restaurant in town beside 3 Guys Italian, and they aint open on Monday's. Applebee's is awful.

To be honest, this is on the same level or slightly above the kind of review that we were getting in the Advocate there for a while.
