Leaving Ft Leonardwood next Fri and wanting to hit up the casinos for a few days and explore STL. Where do I stay, a hotel and casino would be preferable.

There is a Four Seasons right next to the casino.

I stayed at the renaissance grand by the convention center; it was very nice. I believe the casino was approximately 4 blocks down near the bridge.

Renaissance is actually something that could work, I might put it on the government travel card.

I stayed at the Hilton at the Ballpark while my Phils were in town a few years back. Obviously, no baseball so a ballpark view loses a little luster. It was a nice hotel though.

if you like bar-b-que, check out Bogarts in Soulard. It is pretty amazing. City Museum is a good time as well.

Stay - Lumiere place or Hilton at the Ballpark

Eat - Pappy's, Tucker's Place, Pi pizza, Italian on The Hill

Check out the Budweiser Brewery (even if it's not your thing, it's still cool to see)

There's a couple of blues bars down the street from cardinals stadium that have live music pretty much every night of the week.

You've never been to Ft Leonard Wood. Let's put it this way, my room on post for Fri night is free but I'd rather pay $150 and drive 90 mins.
