I love LSU basketball

Have ever since I knew what a basketball was (I'm 37 years old).
My criteria is simple:
I love LSU
I love the sport of basketball
That's about all there is to it. I enjoy going to games. Horrible coaches like TJ didn't make not like LSU or basketball. It was a sad state the program was in but I still watched every game and went to most.
So many people say "I'll come back when the program is back to its winning ways" or "winning will cure the fan base"
The fact is, if your a basketball fan, you will support the team through thick and thin.
If you are an LSU fan but don't care for basketball, that's fine too. It's sad that half of the Basketball threads after a game are taken over by a bunch of turds that don't even care for the sport or the team.
The expectations for this team were probably too lofty to begin with. People say " with all the talent on this roster...." we should be this or that. The roster isn't as talented a people make it out to be. We still primarily play with very undersized guards. JOB a solid palyer, when he is interested. Shavon has improved immensly. Martin is learning to adapt to D1 basketball, Mickey is a beast but still has tons of room to develop, and Quarterman is going to be good but hurts us offensively. Many fawned over Odo during his recruitment and all last year but he has a long way to go before he is ready to log real minutes. Morgan hasn't shot the ball like he needs to and has been very erratic on both sides of the floor. This team is capable of being a tourney bubble 8/9 seed type team but hasn't gelled enough to do so. It loses its composure too easily and has too many stretches of mindless turnovers and lazy defense.
That said, they are getting better and will benefit next year by having more options in the backcourt. The program is now exciting, ages advanced from trent ball.
I too expected a tournament bid, bbut that may not be a reasonable goal for this team. They could still get hot and there is always the SEC tourney. This team is deep enough to get hot in a th- Fri format and steal an auto bid. That's what makes college bball so great.
If you're a basketball and LSU fan, get to the pmac Tuesday and help make the dome deaf. The team needs your support
But hey, if you're not a bbasketball fan, then don't go. Nobody will hold it against you. Just don't come here tuesday at 10:15 to talk shite about a program you don't even care about

Wrong homie. I expect a win. If we do, trolls will be all over the place letting us all know that it was a fluke/UK is not that good this year/we still not going to the tourney/CBI here we come, ect.

PMAC will have over 10k easily. More like 11-12k. If LSU is in the game second half, it will be rocking. Many are coming to watch Kentucky, but are LSU fans. If LSU has a chance to beat them, I trust LSU fans will get behind their team

It is very wonderful. The copious amounts of empty seats are not, however.

Absolutely well put my friend. Every bit of this post was spot on. I feel the same connection to LSU basketball, possibly from being a ballboy and getting to be around these incredible college athletes, be a part of their warmup routine and experience on court intensity. Its so easy for the non basketball fans to dog the team after a rough loss and even easier for them to jump in when we are playing well. Yes saturday was disappointing but I cannot wait for Tuesday night. Its a shame this recent loss and the weather forecast for Tuesday could hurt attendance.
But somehow I have faith this team will show up to play and it somehow have even more faith the PMAC will be rockin'.

Jones is still a least two years away. Obviously we need a shooting guard with size. I hope JOB stays( I know ..... no way, right?); he has gotten much better this year and another year will make him more mature and even better. By the way, Trent isn't here anymore; let the man alone.

Been a MBB season ticklet holder since 1976. I love LSU Basketball and will support the team no matter what.
Snow or not, I plan on being in the PMAC on Tuesday night. I believe JJ is rebuilding our talent level at LSU and that process continues. We will be a top 4 in the SEC program soon even if this year's team falls short of top 4.

And, win or lose, you'll be back here beating your own chest over what an awesome fan you are. We get it.
