Lafayette needs more restaurants

Social. 2 hour wait. Ruffino's. 2 hour wait. Pamplona's. 90 min wait. Village Cafe. 90 minute wait. I miss the many options in Nola. End of rant.

You need more brain cells so that you prepare an evening event earlier in the week and pick up your phone and male reservations. Everyone that was seated when you entered did it.

I hate crowded restaurants, that's why I like to eat out on Monday or Tuesday

Go at 5pm when it's not crowded. Have a cocktail or two before you order. When the people start piling in order your food. When you leave you'll wade through the river of people who didn't plan the night any better.

Tried that same thing over here last Saturday. Everywhere had a 1-2 hour wait. In hindsight, I should've made a reservation, but I was lazy. Got pissed and just pulled into the first place with an empty parking lot. Went to Johnny Carino's. Ordered a blue moon and server comes back and says they're out. That's fine, I'll stick with water. Order the lasagna, server comes back and tells me they're out. Ended up getting some pasta that was meh. Don't recommend the place.
