Just to play Saban's advocate, people tend to sling mud in divorce court. Plus it was kind of a broad restraining order request--maybe she just drank before she visited the kids, or maybe he just put that on the record to make her look bad without actually claiming drug and alcohol use.
What we know for sure is bad enough. Drug and alcohol abuse is low-level stuff.

Do judges just hand out restraining orders telling women not to use drugs before seeing her kids without having evidence she did so previously?

Dunno...I saw something in an article where they didn't have a hearing on that issue. Judge just rubber stamped it. Could be the nature of the allegations, or maybe the judge had seen enough from her to automatically believe the worst.
Either way, I think she's terrible.

Maybe she didn't show up for the hearing. Seems you can't get a restraining order without offering proof. There would be a lot of restraining orders flying around during and after divorce proceedings

Her past is pretty murky. She won't win Texas and if more surfaces might need to just withdrawal.

Sadly you're right. Extremists never really care what their fave has done in the past ect. The game of politics just grinds on. Ah well. Either way she will get her arse handed to her in the election. Misspeaking about her past will get her hammered.

If they're really trying to make inroads toward turning Texas into a Blue state, this is a really dumb choice of horses to back.
