Deer backstrap

Killed my first deer this weekend. Was planning on cooking some of the backstrap in a skillet with salt and pepper like a steak/filet.

Any other recommendations?

You got the right idea. You can trick it up a little by making a pan sauce or something. But you certainly don't have too. Just don't over cook.

Yep. That is the only way I do it and it takes all of 5 minutes. Just let it rest.

I don't worry about a sauce. I just think its perfect like that.
