It seemed to me every time he said 'Omaha', he followed it up with Set, Hike (It went Omaha-Set-Hike). I think the ball was snapped less than a couple of seconds after each time he said the word Omaha during the entire game. I was surprised that the Patriots didn't try to jump the call and take advantage of it. I surely thought Manning would change it up in the 2nd half, but he never did and the Broncos kept using the call the same way throughout.

It depends on the wind direction and what uniforms they're wearing.

3rd and 1 at a crucial part of the game. Enjoy kicking your stupid arse for jumping offsides and believing you are "outsmarting" the greatest football mind to ever play the game.

He also used "Blue - Set" a few times.

The snap count was the first sound after Omaha or after Blue, but I wouldn't set my watch by it.

I think he just says it because Omaha is his favorite place to eat corn fed beef.

Did you watch the week before? How many times did San Diego jump offsides?

Ever notice how you are always able to hear the sound for Manning's cadence, but you never hear the opposing QB's calls? Last week they had Manning's calls clear as day, but you couldn't hear Rivers at all. Same this week with Brady.

You can tell the networks are jumping on the "new" infatuation with Manning's calls at the line of scrimmage.

I think the stadium was too loud to hear Brady's calls.

That parabolic microphone is very sensitive, but I don't think it can filter out the crowd noise for Brady's calls.

I can usually hear Brady's cadence very well when Pats games from Boston are on TV.

I was just saying this exact same thing. I felt like Manning was in my living room. You could practically hear him breathing.

He changes the "meaning" every game, sometimes every possession.
He loves to get the D to guess. He will get Seattle to jump at least 2 times.

my understanding is that omaha is the snap count, and it means on one.

It's what he uses to say 'on one' after changing the play on the line. His cadence for each series could be 'first sound', 'set, hut,' etc, but it's an 'alright, enough changing stuff. Back to getting ready to snap it on the cadence' call.

That was my understanding. Also, IIRC Eli uses "Omaha" as well.

I'm surprised at how much attention this is getting. Manning has been using "Omaha" for a while now

From my understanding Omaha means Next sound. So manning gets up to the Line "Blue-42 Check mike check mike, Brady is a bitch brady is a bitch, fh;dfhorhfiaheriuhfrehrehfrrdflha;ferofjhfoihiofaferu;fhirhgfiyrhgfiurhfibeyvchgiuciuhfiuy Blah Blah Blah OMAHA! SET!" And the play is ran
