i don't have a problem with gun ownership but the NRA is to the right what PETA is to the left.

Having a special interest out there to lobby to protect gun ownership rights, sure.

But a gun lobby that uses it's influence to water down the ATF and make enforcing laws already on the books, laws that enjoy broad bipartisan support, very difficult (if not impossible) is something else.

Okay then. No guns for cops, secret service, FBI, military, etc.

Weinstein, 61, made it clear that his motive is political as he is openly against the use of guns.
'I don’t think we need guns in this country. And I hate it. I think the NRA is a disaster area,' he said.

Oh.

OK, then.

Its scary how dumb successful people can sound when they rant about things like this. That entire article sounded like it was quoting a 5th grader.

Agreed. They take it a little too far when they don't allow any productive discussion on the subject.

He said that his intention is to make the movie such a condemnation of the use of guns in America that the ammunition industry would take a noticeable hit afterwards.
Weinstein said that people will be leaving the movie theater thinking 'Gun stocks — I don’t want to be involved in that stuff'.

Well, on the plus side, i guess we can mark on our calendars when the next run on ammunition is going to happen.

this. It's unfortunate that he said he's targeting ammunition companies with this. Hopefully they don't actually take a hit.

You'd think of all groups to know that's it's a bad idea for only the government to have guns, the Jews would be at the top of the list.
