ESPN Article
quote:

The regimen of performance-enhancing substances delivered by Anthony Bosch to Alex Rodriguez was "probably the most potent and sophisticated drug program developed for an athlete that we've ever seen," U.S. Anti-Doping Agency CEO Travis Tygart told The Associated Press.

Damn.

If you are going to cheat, might as well be the best at it.

it was sophisticated and done well. Not necessarily "potent" in the amounts of actual test and gh he was taking. The fact that ARod never failed a test shows that he never went off the rails with the stuff.

Yea without a doubt. Me personally, I wish all pro athletes were given steroids. That would make it an even playing field and the consumer would get the best product possible.

I'm sure he got a check with at least six zeros and Bud Selig's signature on it.

Herd destroyed that dude IMO.

Also thought this was funny:

quote:

"Another point that may have gotten missed," Tygart added, "is that insiders like Bosch want to give the perception they know. It's part of the pitch, how you market to pro athletes. So saying 10:30 instead of 10:45 makes the athlete think, 'Hey, this guy really knows his stuff.'"

It's halfway sad to see athletes with raw talent see the need for all these drugs.

I can't stand A roid though. I mean this guy doesn't just cheat he excels at it.

Had the potential to go down as the best player ever.

Now he won't even be in the HOF. Not that it seems to matter to him...

When he admitted to doing PEDs while with the Rangers a while back, I read that there were people that knew he was using steroids as far back as high school, and has never stopped.

Like no other person ever has. Well, except maybe Lance Armstrong.

Reading this only makes my disappointment with Major League Baseball and my hatred for Bud Selig grow. Selig is awful. The farce he is pursuing against the same players he happily used a few years ago to make himself and the owners richer should disgust every fan of the game. The BBWAA HoF voters that smugly turn their heads to Bonds, McGwire, and Clemens are the same people that wrote about their exploits for years.

The sport needs new blood. Selig's retirement can't get here fast enough.
