Ordering a pizza from the redone Mama Della's. I'll report back.

I had a late lunch... half dozen raw oysters, cup of chili, a drumstick and some deep-fried deviled eggs. Washed down with an Ugly Pug Black Lager and a Jameson.

I may never eat again.

Deep fried deviled eggs doesn't sound like its good for you, nor does it sound good in general.

With pics.

Trying to figure this out. Maybe a burger, got some ground beef that needs to get used.

I'm actually a girl but I feel great so far...and way less guilty than I probably should.

Deep-fried deviled eggs are delicious, by the way.

I'm actually not sure, Otis...the eggs are fried whole so I can't figure out the process. They are served with a chicken-skin aioli, though, and are awesome.

I got them here.

I've got a good friend who works there so I can see if she can sneak me the recipe.

The menu says "buttermilk breaded"... That's what I needed to know. On the show, an egg was being run through seasoned flour...it had yet to be dipped in a batter or wet ingredient,. I'm sure they then went to the buttermilk and back to the flour. Looked pretty damn good.

I really wish I hadn't looked at that website. Now, I'm craving fried chicken and fried deviled eggs with that bloody mary to start. I want to go to that place right now.

It's a great spot. It's chef-owned, and the chef's other restaurant is a more upscale joint called Olivia...he used to serve fried chicken every weekend during brunch (the brunch there is fabulous, by the way) and it was such a hit that he opened an entire restaurant just for his chicken. There are tons of cool menu items and everything I've ever had there has been great. Fantastic, interesting specials, too.

I know Chef Holmes has Louisiana ties, I just can't remember what they are...
